In the summer of 1988 a small group of men and women met in Kent, Ohio to establish a club for those with an interest in the art of wood carving. They elected officers, chose the name "Tree City Carvers", and agreed to meet once a month to carve and share their interest and skills with one another.
The highlight of the monthly meeting is a show-and-tell period. Members show and discuss carvings they have completed or are currently working on. Meetings might also include discussions and demonstrations on various subjects of interest. The discussions and demonstrations are presented by club members or guest speakers.
We focus on all different types of wood carving and wood burning.
Below are just a few examples from club members.
